Headway were delighted to be part of an Irish delegation to a visit and conference to the CEDR centre for Complex Rehabilitation (COMPRE) in Pardubice, Czechia recently (CEDR – Centrum duševní rovnováhy o.p.s. – služby pro osoby s psychickým onemocněním).

A team from CEDR had been to Ireland last year and had visited Headway, Acquired Brain Injury Ireland and the National Rehabilitation Hospital
Richard Stables, Information and Support Manager represented Headway; Margaret Gordon, Social Worker represented the National Rehabilitation Hospital and Dolores Gallagher, Programme Coordinator for the On With Life programme, represented Acquired Brain Injury Ireland.
The Irish team presented at a conference on the theme of supports for Informal Caregivers for people affected by Acquired Brain Injury.
The team were treated to some wonderful Czech hospitality during the trip and we had an opportunity to meet the clients in the centre in Pardubice and talk with family members at the conference.

The conference took place in the newly configured SFERA centre in Pardubice (SFÉRA Pardubice) , which was a stunning outdoor venue. Fortunately, the weather was spectactularly kind!
