Rights & Responsibilities

As a client of Headway you have a right:

  • To be treated with respect and dignity
  • To receive services that meet your needs as agreed with Headway staff
  • To receive services no matter what my race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or disability.
  • To receive services in a safe environment free from harm
  • To be given all the information you need about the services you get
  • To privacy and for your personal information to be kept confidential
  • To refuse to take part in services
  • To be involved in deciding your own rehabilitation goals
  • To make a complaint if  your are unhappy with the service
  • To give feedback that might help to improve Headway’s services

As a client of Headway you have a responsibility:

  • To treat other people in Headway with dignity and respect
  • Not to harm others in Headway
  • To let staff know if there is part of my rehabilitation that you don’t understand or am not happy with
  • To follow Headway’s safety rules
  • To follow the rules of the service you are in
  • To attend when you’re supposed to
  • To attend services alcohol and drug free
  • To do your best to follow your rehabilitation goals
